Supplies:
PattieWack Clear Shrink Plastic
Medium Size Binder Clips
Fine Sand Paper
Permanent Markers
1/8-inch Ribbon,
Assorted Ribbons
Beads, Small Bells
Scissors
1/4-inch Hole Punch
Oven, preheated to 250 degrees
Cookie Sheet
Non-Stick Sheet or Brown Bag
Spatula
Cutting Board

Steps:
1. Sand the shrink plastic vertically and horizontally with fine sand paper. This will enable the markers to adhere to the plastic.
2. Place the sanded shrink plastic over your pattern and trace with permanent markers. Color in the areas with markers in different contrasting colors. The colors will be more vibrant after shrinking.
3. Cut out the charm with scissors. Punch a 1/4-inch hole at the top.
4. Place the ornament on a non-stick sheet or brown bag, and lay in the center of a cookie sheet. Place in the oven.
5. Watch as the charm curls and then lays flat. Remove with spatula and place on cutting board, then press with the spatula to flatten completely.
6. Attach the charm to a binder clip with 20-inches of 1/8-inch ribbon, tying at both ends. Add beads and small bells to the binder clip with assorted ribbons to complete.
7. Attach the completed charm to your umbrella with the binder clip. Make several to go all the way around the umbrella.

Pattie’s Pointer:
You can use my owl pattern for these cute umbrella charms, but you can also find patterns in coloring books, or on-line by doing a search for the image you want. My goodness, you could even make each one of them different!
