PattieWack Pointer:

Print out the faces of people from family photos. Cut them out, and then glue to the spoon to create some really silly puppets for your family to play with!

Steps:

1.
Tear fabric into an approximate size of 8 inches by 20 inches.
2. Gather the fabric around the base of the spoon to create a collar and a skirt. Hold the fabric onto the spoon handle with a rubber band.
3. Cut a strip of felt to cover the rubber band. Wrap around the rubber band and glue into place.
4. Cut triangles, squares, circles, and eyelashes to create a face for the spoon.
5. Glue felt eyes and mouth to the spoon, with a button for the nose.
6. Glue loops of yarn to the back of the spoon for hair. Other ideas for hair are to use a snippet of a feather boa, or strips of felt, or ribbon loops.

Puppet Theater

Place a spring tension rod across a doorway or a closet door. Hang a brightly colored curtain that just touches the floor. A curtain that is too long will be too easy for children’s feet to trip over. Now you have an instant theater!
