Pointer: Get ready for the prom with a flower covered purse, and glue or sew petals around your white gloves at the cuff, and finish the look with a flower clipped to the toes of you shoes. Now, that's PETAL power!
Or, spread the petal power by decorating your home. You can cover a chair cushion, placemats, lampshades, frames, and coasters with pretty petals. Your little girl's bedroom can be turned into a garden with petals on the pillows, memo board, lampshades, and even cover an apron for a frilly petal covered costume!
Steps:
1. Take the silk flowers apart, and then cut the petals apart with scissors.
2. Start at the edge of the frame, purse, lampshade, or whatever your base is. Hot glue petals in a row. Then glue petals in another row, covering up the glued edge of the first row.
3. Continue gluing rows of petals onto the project until it is covered.
Easter Idea:
Cover the bottom of your Easter basket with pretty pastel silk flower petals, and the cover plastic eggs for a darling centerpiece for the Sunday brunch. Continue the theme with petal placemats and napkin rings. Place a bouquet of fresh garden roses on the buffet for the finishing touch.
