Napkin Decoupage on Paper Mache’

Supplies:

Paper Mache Box
Decorative Napkins
Aleene’s® Paper Napkin Applique Glue

Tools:
Disposable Foam Brush
Paper Plate
Scissors

Instructions:

1. Separate napkin until you only have one-ply. Most napkins are either 2-ply or 3-ply. Discard the undecorated ply, or use for clean up. 
2. Decide on napkin placement for the project. Cut the napkin if necessary to fit the box. 
3. Squeeze glue onto paper plate, the spread a generous amount of glue in a small area of the box with a foam brush.
4. Carefully place the napkin into the glue, pressing lightly with your fingers. Wet the brush with glue, and spread evenly of the surface of the napkin until it is completely covered. Be careful not to tear the napkin.
5. Tear off the extra napkin along the edges of the box, and then press down with the wet brush. 
6. Let dry thoroughly over night.
7. Add beaded trim, ball feet, and any other embellishments with glue.
