Designed by Pattie Donham

CBS Channel Six in the A.M.

Supplies:
2 Sheets of Paper: 8-1/2 inches x 14 inches
Sticker Sheets
Rubber Stamps
Assorted Ink Stamps
Markers
Xyron® Laminating system or Contact Paper

Steps:
1. Cut out letters from the sticker sheets to spell the child's name. Peel off the backing and place the stickers on one of the sheets of paper.

2. Get creative, and allow the child to decorate the paper with rubberstamps, more stickers, drawings, and pictures.

3. Place the decorated sheet of paper on top of the blank piece of paper.

4. Run the 2 sheets through the laminating system. Trim the edges.

5. If using contact paper, cut the paper 1/4 inch larger than the placemat. Peel off the backing from the contact paper, and place the decorated paper face down on the adhesive side of the contact paper, to create the top of the placemat.

6. Cut another piece of contact paper 1/4 inch larger than the placemat. Peel off the backing from the contact paper, and place the blank paper onto the adhesive side of the contact paper, to create the bottom of the placemat. Adhere the top of the placemat to the bottom of the placemat by placing them back-to-back. Press the contact paper edges together to seal the placemat
