Funky Flip Flops
Designed by Pattie Donham

Turn ordinary summer thongs into Funky Flip Flops! All you need are some fuzzy fibers or a skein of yarn to twist around the straps, and add a perky pompom to tickle your fancy & your toes!

Supplies:
Rubber Flip Flops
26 Yards of Yarn (1 Skein) or 2 Cards of Adornaments™
Terrifically Tacky Tape 1/4”

Tools:
Scissors
PattieWack PomPom Tool,
or 3-inch square of Heavy Cardboard

Steps:
1. Take 3 yards of yarn and fold in half to double. Tie the doubled yarn around the toe strap, at the middle of the yarn to anchor it to the flip flop. Wrap both ends of the yarn around the straps to cover, and hold the ends in place with double-sided tape. Trim off any excess yarn.

2. Create a 3-inch pompom by wrapping around the heavy cardboard, or by using the PattieWack PomPom Tool. Tie the middle with 12 inches of yarn. Cut the pompom away from the tool and trim.

3. Tie the finished pompom onto the toe strap. Trim off excess yarn.

4. Repeat all 3 steps for the other flip flop. Enjoy!
