Steps:

1. If using the Adornaments fibers, pull out the fluffiest yarn on the card. Wrap yarn around the straps to cover, and hold the ends in place with Terrifically Tacky Tape.

2. Create a 3-inch pompom using the PattieWack PomPom Tool. Tie the middle with wire. Cut of the ends of the wire, and turn the ends back into the pompom.

3. Push the point of the craft knife into the center of the strap. Insert a 5-inch piece of wire through the hole. (This will keep the wire from slipping on the flip flops.) Lay the pompom over the wire, and twist the wire to hold the pompom in place. Cut of the ends of the wire, and turn the ends back into the pompom.

4. Repeat all 3 steps for the other flip flop. Enjoy!

PattieWack Tip:
You can add yards of lace to the pompoms by simply winding it over the top of the yarns in Step #2. Make Fab Flip Flops to hand out to your Bridesmaids at the reception to dance the night away!

Supplies:

PattieWack™ Black Shrink Plastic
#654 Super Russet – Pearl Ex® powdered pigment by Jacquard™
Rubber Stamp of Your Choice
E600 Heavy Duty Glue
Leather Cording (9-inches)
(2) Small Clutches
(3) Jump Rings
(1) 1-1/2-inch Silver Eye Pin
(1) 1-1/2-inch Silver Flat-Head Pin
(8) Assorted Glass Beads
Micro-Mini Beads without holes

Tools:
Scissors
Hole Punch
Cotton Swab
Heat Gun & Tongs
Heat-Resistant work surface
Round-Nose Pliers
Flat-Nose Pliers

Instructions:

1. Cut PattieWack™ Black Shrink Plastic into any shape, such as a heart, triangle, teardrop, oval, rectangle or square. Cut the piece twice as large as you want it to be, to allow for shrinkage.
2.	Punch a hole in the plastic as the point for it to hang.
3.	Dip a cotton swab into the pigment, and swirl it onto the front and back of the plastic piece.
4.	Lay plastic onto heat-resistant work surface, and lay your rubber stamp close by. Using tongs to hold the plastic still, heat the plastic with a heat gun until it shrinks and begins to flatten. While the plastic is hot, press rubberstamp into the plastic to create a relief and texture.

5.	Assemble book thong as follows:
a.	Place a clutch on both ends of the leather cording, firmly squeezing them closed with flat-nosed pliers. This will form the thong.
b.	Thread 4 beads onto the eye pin, and bend the wire into an “L”, and then form the “L” into a circle with the round-nosed pliers.
c.	Attach the shrink art to the beaded eye pin with a jump ring. Now attach the other end of the beaded eye pin to one of the ends of the thong with another jump ring.
d.	Thread 4 beads onto the flat-headed pin, next bend the wire into an “L”, and then form the ”L” into a circle with the round-nosed pliers. Now attach it to the other end of the thong with a jump ring.
6.	Dab a couple of dots of E6000 glue onto the finished shrink art, and dip the piece into the micro-mini beads. Shake off excess beads and let dry overnight.

Note:
Another beautiful option is to add a beaded tassel to the other end of the thong, in place of the beaded flat head pin in step 5-d.

Nylon Baby Socks with Lace
(or Baby Sports Socks for a Boy)
Wire
Floral Tape
Ribbon
Scissors
Diaper Pin

Steps:
1. Unroll your sock to begin. From the toe of the sock roll it up towards the open end of the sock at a slight angle. As you begin to run out of sock to roll, flip the open end of the sock up towards the toe, like you were matching socks while doing laundry. This will form the shape of a flower bud. If you use the lace socks you can pull the lace around the edge of the newly formed flower bud.

2. Take wire and twist around the base of the bud. Cover with floral tape. Make several buds.

3. To make a corsage, you will simply join several buds together and twist the wire. Cover with floral tape, then curl the extra wire around a pencil to coil.

4. Take ribbon and use it to tie into a bow at the base of the corsage. Take a large diaper pin and piercing the tape, pin on to the person who is supposed to wear the corsage. Some diaper pins are very plain, others come with decorated pin heads. You can decide if you wish to show them off or not.

Quick-Sew Houseshoes with Washcloths and Pompoms

Designed by Pattie Wilkinson

Supplies:
2 Washcloths
1/4 inch Elastic
Matching Thread
Sewing Machine
Pattiewack™ PomPom Tool
Needle
Yarn
Large Safety Pin

Pattie’s Pointer:
Nothing is more comfy than terry cloth. Be sure and make these for everyone, and a pair for yourself!

Steps:
1. Fold the two sides of the washcloth 3 inches toward the center.
2. Sew a straight stitch with the sewing machine, 1 inch from the fold lines.
3. Fold the houseshoe in half, with the fold lines together. To form the heel, hand stitch one end of the houseshoe, pulling the point up to the ruffle.
4. To form the toe of the houseshoe, sew a running stitch along the opposite end of the washcloth. Pull the threads to gather, and whipstitch into place at the top of the ruffle.
5. Hook the end of the elastic with a safety pin. Thread it through the top of the ruffle, starting at the toe and ending at the toe. Slip the houseshoe onto your foot, and pull the elastic to a comfortable fit. Tie the elastic at the toe opening, and cut off at the knot.
6. Make a pompom by winding yarn around the PattieWack PomPom Tool for a 4-inch pompom. Wind yarn onto the cardboard until it is really full, and thick enough to form a nice sized pompom. Tie the center of the pompom as tightly as possible. Cut the loops on each side to release the pompom from the tool. Fluff and trim the pompom with scissors.
7. Tie the pompom onto the elastic at the toe of the houseshoe.
8. Repeat all of the steps for the other shoe.
