Egg Bouquet
Designed by Marlene Watson

These beautiful eggs have the look of stain glass. These are made from Duck Eggs but you could make them from any egg that is blown out and clean.

Supplies:

Empty and clean Duck Eggs
10” length of 14 ga. Wire
Hot. Glue gun
Pinata Paints in colors desired
12” gathered lace, 1” wide
Plastic portfolio cover
Sponge
Krylon Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze #0500
Green Floral tape

Instructions:

1. Bend one end of wire in a loop. Drop hot glue into egg and insert wire with loop end into glue. Let cool a minute or so.

2. Apply paint to egg one or two drops at a time. You can apply different colors on top of each other to achieve unusual shades. Also by applying a drop of clean up solution the colors will bleed into each other. Experiment! This is so much fun.

You can also dab with your finger or a piece of sponge to create unusual effects.

3. For leaves, apply dots of Lime Green, Rainforest Green and Yellow on the portfolio cover plastic. Dab with sponge to slightly blend. Let dry, then cut out leaf shapes.

4. Let eggs dry at least one hour, then spray with Krylon Crystal Clear Glaze.

5. Gather lace tightly in a circle around bottom of egg. Apply hot glue to hold lace to bottom of egg.

6. Wrap the stem with floral tape adding leaves as desired. Place bouquet in a pretty vase or bowl.
