Pointer: Turn your boring datebook, calendar, or day planner into
a creative journal this year! These are wonderful to give away as gifts. If you add personal affirmations, recipes,
clippings, and notes throughout the year, you can also add photos and birthday reminders, as well as your goals
for the year. At the end of the year, you will have a personal keepsake of all the great things that happened
to you and a treasure to be read for years to come.
Steps:
1. Glue scrapbook paper to the front of the book with
spray adhesive, covering it to the spine.
2. Cut a contrasting piece of scrapbook paper to cover the left edge and bottom corner of the book to create a
pocket. You may tear across the top edge to add
interest.
3. Adhere the pocket to the book with Terrifically Tacky Tape, along the left edge and the bottom of the pocket.
4. Embellish the book cover and pocket with stickers, rubberstamps, brads, etc.
5. Wrap wire and beads around the spine of the book, twisting together at the top of the book spine. Curl the
wire ends into coils
6. Stamp an image onto the PattieWack Crafting Plastic and let dry. Cut around the image and punch a hole in
the top to create a bookmark.
7. Attach the bookmark to the book with Adornaments fibers, around the book spine, and knotting at the top of
the book. Add fiber tassels made with the Tiny Tassel Tool, if desired.
8. Add rubberstamped images and stickers throughout the book to personalize and complete.
