Pointer:
Usually hat boxes come in nests of 3 or more. To make a colorful
statement to any room, simply do all of the boxes in coordinating trims and stack in that
dreary corner to not only brighten things up, but to also organize clutter!
Steps:
1. Spray paint entire box black in a well ventilated area. (preferably
outdoors.) Let dry.
2. Trace around top of box onto back of angel poster. Cut inside trace
lines.
3. Glue to box top with decoupage glue. Brush top coat over entire box top
to seal. Let dry.
4. Tie knots in upholstery trim and glue to edge of box top.
5. Measure box sides and cut embossed paper according to measurements.
Cut
inside trace lines.
6. Glue to box sides with decoupage glue. Brush top coat over entire box
sides to seal. Let dry.
7. Put lid on box. Glue trim around bottom edge of box.
8. Tie knots in upholstery trim and glue to under edge of box top onto box
sides. Glue charms in between knots onto trim.
