Marbling Steps:
1. Lay paper towels on table to lay marbled paper to dry.
2. Fill tub 1/2 full of water.
3. Shake all the paint cans well. Spray each color onto the top of the water. Swirl the paint gently with the tongs.
4. Pick up paper with tongs and dip it into the water, coating the paper evenly. Lay it onto paper towels to dry.
5. Repeat marbling process for as many pieces of paper you wish to create. Let dry completely.

Journal:
1. Cut two pieces of marbled paper the same size of the journal cover. Glue to the front and back of journal with spray adhesive.
2. Tear blue paper into a 2 inch wide strip. Glue across bottom of journal cover.
3. Fold a piece of marbled paper in half. Tear a butterfly shape out of the paper. Fold the wings in a pleated shape. Add beads and fiber around body of butterfly. Glue to journal above blue strip of paper.
4. Add stickers along blue strip to spell “Fly.”
5. String beads onto wire and wind around spine of journal. Wind fiber around spine, adding beads to the ends of the fiber to use as bookmark.

Pattiewack Pointer:
The kids love this crafty technique. You can dip just about anything that into the tub and marble away. Try dipping tennis shoes, lampshades, pencils, ball caps, and just experiment! It's a great craft for outdoors.
